Conversations about the future of our Church
At this stage, two gatherings with representatives from every parish have taken place. The conversation revolves around our current 57 parishes being reduced to 15 parishes. There are currently 23 parishes without resident priests. We have just 50 priests under 75 in ministry in our diocese. The next phase is our three parishes meeting with Bishop Fintan in the coming weeks to see how our structures can be further rationalized to serve our faith needs. The content of the conversations that have taken place so far can be viewed on the diocesan website www.killaloediocese.ie

PRAYER FOR SYRIA AND TURKEY
All our hearts are going out to the people of Syria and Turkey .
May the people of these lands have the courage and strength to keep living each day.
May they have all the supports, aid, love and compassion needed.
Syria is suffering so much pain and turmoil from war and conflict.
May leaders open all borders so that all resources can get through.
May generosity and God’s blessings bring strength and hope to everyone who has been affected
May minds and hearts be moved to remember loved ones who have died, those who are injured and missing,
We hold them all in our hearts this day, Amen.
