Pope Francis released his annual Message for World Mission Sunday 2020 on Pentecost Sunday with the theme taken from Isaiah: “Here am I, send me” 6:8). Each of us is a missionary by virtue of our Baptism. Jesus commanded His disciples, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned”. (Mark 16: 15- 16) At present missionaries are desperately in need of support in many poorer parishes in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We can assist them by prayer and financial help. The money is used to build schools and churches and for the education of priests. We pray for missionaries, for those who provide the support for their missions and for those who welcome them. Thank you for supporting in whatever way you can, and please remember it is more than an appeal for financial help. Missionaries also need spiritual support.

NOVEMBER MASSES FOR THE HOLY SOULS During the month of November, Mass will be offered each day for all on our November Dead List of the parish. Envelopes containing the list of your dead are now available in both churches.
TIMBER AUCTION – this year’s fundraiser by Kilbarron N.S. Parents Association will be a timber auction on Sun. 10th November in Kilbarron car park. If you could donate any timber or help to cut timber please contact Niamh Quinn 086 0743000.
